OBTAINING A BARKSANEM™ LICENSE
Barksanem™ is the owner of the intellectual property within the Barksanem™ License, as such we may extend the usage rights within the context of a License.
Licensing grants the use of the holder’s rights without the transfer of intellectual property.
In our case, we issue a License for the comprehensive intellectual property that includes a portfolio of technologies (mining, environmental, social) targeting the self-sufficiency of mining micro-collectivities (50 to 500 population equivalents). Our Licensing agreements for our clients is comprised three distinct components:
TERRITORY
The right to access and use our know-how / intellectual property within a specific territory.
Production
Streamlining and structuring the production tools in order to implement the know-how.
CONTEXTUALIZATION
The ability to adapt the license to the market and the territory is essential to provide the best possible products and services.
BSM™ Licenses in Africa
We currently have 3 Licenses under contract in Burkina Faso, 1 major License in Madagascar and approximately 20 Licenses in the final stages of preparation in Ivory Coast, Mali, and Niger.

ADVANTAGES OF THE LICENSE
1. TIME TO MARKET
The License allows our clients to penetrate their territory by optimizing the time of deployment of their activity by creating a complete battery of actions (a substantial asset) allowing a major gain of time towards the commercialization of extracted ore.
2. TERRITORIAL APPROACH
The License allows our clients to focus on improving their practices to meet the requirements of the market and the territory.
3. COST OPTIMIZATION
The License allows our clients to convert certain costs into revenue by delegating a specific part of the value chain to expert partners.
4. VALUE EXPERTISE
The License allows our clients to delegate responsibility for the production, assembly or placement of the product in accordance with the specifications set out in the license agreement.
5. REGULAR INCOME
The License allows our clients to optimize the management of expertise in order to create regular revenues.

Combatting fraud in the mining supply chain is one of Barksanem™ main goals. Through a ministry-wide roll-out of our technology, our secure, digitized supply chain, limits the loss in the collection of taxes and other fiscal dues as well as have better visibility of the gold mining populations.
FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
A micro-collectivity represents, on average, 300 unbanked clients. Through a micro-collectivity centric partnership, banks, and other financial organizations gain access to these future clients, offering micro-collectivities the tools and services they need to grow and thrive.

Beyond the underlying aim on financial bottom line, the BSM™ License ensures financial sustainability through its unique approach to micro-collectivities.
